There’s something special about a girls’ trip that doubles as a celebration, especially when it’s for your sister’s bachelorette weekend. In July 2022, I joined my sisters, Hillary (the bride) and Cari, along with Hillary’s best friends, Tasha and Shemeka, for a sun-soaked Miami getaway that was the perfect mix of laughter, glam, and sisterhood.
We all arrived on Thursday and settled into our Airbnb, complete with a private pool that quickly became our favorite hangout spot. That evening, we grilled out, played games, and simply enjoyed being together. It felt like the calm before the fabulous storm that Miami always brings.
Friday was pure fun. After a relaxed breakfast, we boarded a yacht for the day filled with sunshine, music, dancing, and endless laughter out on the water.
That evening, we got dressed up and dined at Gianni’s Restaurant inside the iconic former Versace Mansion. Between the Italian-Mediterranean dishes, the glittering mosaic pool, and the atmosphere dripping with old-world luxury, it felt like we were living a scene straight out of a movie.
Saturday brought one of the most memorable drag brunches I’ve ever had at The Palace on South Beach. The food was great, but the performances were the real stars — vibrant, hilarious, and full of pure joy. Afterward, we walked South Beach for a bit before heading back to the Airbnb to relax and recharge.
Later that evening, we dressed up for dinner at Victory Restaurant & Lounge, an upscale yet relaxed spot with amazing food and even better vibes. The night ended dancing at Racket, where the music, lights, and energy felt like the perfect sendoff to a weekend full of celebration.
✨ By Sunday, it was time to say our goodbyes. While everyone else flew home, I caught a flight to Hawaii for a friend’s wedding, still riding the high of sisterhood, laughter, and Miami magic.
